Wärtsilä, leading provider of complete lifecycle solutions for the marine and energy markets, is strongly focused on digitalizing its operations and customer offering.
In his new position, Marco Ryan will define, develop, and execute Wärtsilä’s digital strategy, organizational blueprint, and related digital governance in close collaboration with the CEO and the Board of Management.
Furthermore, he will also lead the Information Management organization made up of more than 200 persons globally.
According to Wärtsilä, Mr Ryan is an experienced digital transformation executive with a solid international track record in creating and implementing digital strategies in both consumer and B2B businesses. His former employers include Thomas Cook Group and Premier Farnell in the UK.
