Teknikum Group Ltd, a leading Nordic polymer technology group, has acquired approximately 25 percent of Hungarian rubber and plastic company T-Plasztik.
T-Plasztik’s largest customers are household and car parts manufacturers. The company’s annual turnover is approximately €22 million, and it employs around 400 people.
“After a close analysis of a number of companies in this line of business,” Teknikum CEO Juha Martikainen states, “we chose T-Plasztik, a well-managed company that has performed well in the past and that has great potential in terms of future growth and development.”
The acquisition is part of Teknikum’s strategy, the goal of which is to grow and expand. Having acquired part of T-Plasztik, Teknikum is now able to establish a stronger presence in Central European markets. In addition, the acquisition enables Teknikum to gain access to new customer segments in the subcontracting of rubber and plastic parts.
Teknikum Group has three factories in Finland, one in China, and a sales company in Germany.
