Tasowheel Gears, part of Tasowheel Group, has invested approximately €3 million in new production machines.
At the end of 2014, Tasowheel Gears installed a gear grinding machine with an accompanying automatic loader.
The machine was delivered by Swiss Reishauer, a leading supplier of gear grinding technology. It is noteworthy that Tasowheel Gears became only the second pilot user for Reishauer’s new loading solution, alongside an unnamed European car manufacturer.
Last month Tasowheel Gears installed its newest machine, a German Emag meant for hard turning and grinding.
With these new investments, Tasowheel Gears aims to ensure its competitiveness in Europe, where the competition is fierce. By doing that, the company expects to achieve a significant increase in its exports.
”Many of our customers are preparing for new projects,” says Kari Sorjonen, CEO, Tasowheel Group. ”We need to improve accordingly, so that once the customer says ”Go!” we are ready to forge ahead with full speed.”
Currently, exports make up approximately 50 percent of Tasowheel’s total sales. The company aims to increase the share of exports to 70 percent.
