Cimcorp Oy, Finnish intralogistics automation specialist acquired by Japanese Murata Machinery Ltd. (Muratec) in October 2014, appointed two new CEOs during the first half of 2015.
Following the acquisition, the board of Cimcorp first appointed Masatoshi Wakabayashi as the company’s new CEO. Wakabayashi assumed the position in March 2015.
The appointment of Wakabayashi was said to further encourage cooperation between Cimcorp and Muratec as well as give both companies great opportunities to benefit from one another’s strengths.
“Cimcorp Group will continue its business as an independent company under the Cimcorp name,” Wakabayashi said. “The group will offer total material and data flow solutions for the tire industry, as well as unique robotic crate and layer picking systems for the food & beverage, e-commerce, retail, and postal industries worldwide.”
In June, another appointment took place as Rick Trigatti was appointed CEO of Cimcorp Automation Ltd., Cimcorp’s subsidiary in North America.
“I am excited to step into this new leadership role,” Trigatti said, “and help Cimcorp continue its quest to establish itself as a global supplier of world-class order fulfilment and tire handling solutions.”
